Triple Point of Argon Device
The GD-1189S is a compact and user-friendly apparatus designed to achieve an argon triple-point reproducibility of within ±0.5 mK. Its design eliminates the need for a helium-filled standard platinum resistance thermometer (SPRT), significantly simplifying the operational procedure and reducing the risk of damaging the thermometer. Furthermore, the apparatus incorporates a unique structural design that prevents the thermometer from freezing in place due to atmospheric condensation, while also addressing the material and structural challenges associated with the high-pressure container. Utilizing 6N high-purity argon gas, the system allows for the calibration of at least 6 to 9 thermometers at the low-temperature argon point through multiple freeze-thaw cycles. The unit is equipped with an appropriate temperature control system and a physical liquid level indicator, enabling convenient monitoring of the liquid nitrogen level.
